Legendary Coach Tim Marcum and the Tampa Bay Storm are visiting Bossier City this weekend for "Homecoming!" 

The Bossier-Shreveport BattleWings will play host to the most decorated team in AFL history, the Tampa Bay Storm, this weekend at the CenturyTel Center in Bossier City.  Both teams have had their share of issues during the 2010 season, however, both teams are on the brink of something special...all they need to do is beat the other. 

Coming into the game with a 2-3 record, the Tampa Bay Storm will attempt to defeat the hometown team on what could be one of the most exciting games in BattleWings history.  Wings Head Coach John Norris refers to Coach Tim Marcum as, "one of the guys who brought the tablets down from the mountain" in the AFL.  Marcum, in fact, coached Norris during the inaugural AFL season in 1987 on the AFL champion Denver Dynamite team.  To say that these coaches have looked foward to this meeting would be an understatement.  This game may just turn out to be the "Rocky vs. Apollo Creed" of the AFL...and YOU have a chance to see the game live!

Fans will enjoy the feel of an old-fashioned High School "Homecoming" game complete with the Airline High School Marching Band, under the direction of new director Chad Causey, which will be in the stands filling the atmosphere with the "Friday Night Football" sounds that you'll remember from your days in school.  Also, area High School mascots will compete in the Inaugural LearningRX Mascot Madness School Spirit Competition with $1,000 going to the High School with the most spirit during the game.  SO, break out your favorite school colors and cheers as the BattleWings celebrate HOMECOMING!
